Official Documentation

I got my insurance renewal yesterday. When I opened the envelope the "model" information of my car changed from "Firebird Trans Am" to "Firebird Trans Am +225 horsepower."

I know that, per all the stuff I've seen, my car put out what 205 hp (MAX) new/stock. (91 305 LB9/Auto) The only problem I have is I will need some sort of "official" documentation when I go to fight my rate with the insurance company.

Anyone have an idea where to go, what to buy to do this?

Thanks!

all documentation I've seen (even the tech section on this site) says the 91 LB9 made 205 hp. I would try to find an original 91 brochure or a book at the library that breaks down the engine performance criteria.

Email me if you can't find anything... I've got two copies of "Pontiac News" dated May and June of 1990 that cover the new features of the 91's, including horsepower numbers. I can scan them and email them to you. They're from official GM press kits... pretty much irrefutable.

Great information. I've also been informed that my window sticker *may* have the HP losted on it as well. Now all I have to do is find that file folder...
