They are those black strips along the top of hard-top cars that keep the rain from dripping on you with your window down when you are parked.

T-top cars have a wide metal strip that does the same thing. Although it's not called drip molding. I 've had both a hard top with drip moldings, and my current t-top car, but I don't have any decent photo's to show the difference.
The hard top car had a thin piece of black painted metal along the edge of the roof from the front fender to the sail panel, it kept rain drops from falling on you from the roof of the car if you were stopped with your window down.
My T-top car has a wide metal strip on the T-top that does the same thing.
