is it worth 1500
i just saw an 85 t top camaro z28 305 H.O 4bbl for 1500 it only has 76,000 miles . the body is in good shape it only has a dent in the passanger door and some rust in the fender needs a paint job but it can wait it's not bad. it does need some interior pices like the steering wheel and headliner but i can get them of a junke car my uncle has. is this car worth the $1500.

'83, '85 and '86 HOs were hard to come by, so IMO, just about any from those years would be worth it, as long as it wasn't trashed. Just be sure it's really an HO. People will sometimes put HO decals and the HO dual air snorkel on their LG4 and claim it's an L69. So verify the VIN.
My repair manual says the VIN code for the L69 in 1985 was code G, although my '83 was code 7.

Well, I don't know how badly you want it, lol.
If the 76,000 miles are actual, and if the car's really an HO, and if the car's in decent shape, and if I was in the market for one, and if I was prepared to put money into it(being old and used, I'd expect to), then $1500 doesn't seem like too much to me.
I doubt anyone can find much more for much less.

All years of the 4bbl HO (thats the real HO, not the TPI "5.0L HO") except '84 are very hard to come by, especially for a reasonable price.

sounds like it's worth it to me. I almost bought a 83 H.O. Z28 with the red/orange/yellow exterior and interior. 4-speed car with 60,000 one it. They wanted 3,000 obo for it. I kinda wish i bought it. But one block away, there was a wrecked iroc-z waiting for me to save it :lala:
anyways, if it's what you are looking for, I'd jump all over it.

It should have a T5... I agree. The '83 was the fastest. I had one too.

And yeah again. No automatic was available on the HO in '83, ONLY the 5-speed. That's why I HAD to learn to drive a stick, lol.
