Another value question
I don't need to know what my car is worth cause I refuse to sell it, ever. But I was at a car cruise the other day and out of the corner of my eye I see a white 3rd gen t/a driving past and I saw the "Official pace car" stickers on the doors...he parks the thing in front of a grocery store rather than the cruise in section so I ran after the guy. And yelled across "Is that a TTA" he said yea, it's got 8k miles on it and I got closer and this thing was mint, absolutely beautiful. Then he says, "its for sale if you know anyone who is interested"
He didn't give me a set price but what should something like this go for? I'm fairly certain I can't afford it but I got his number just in case. So on to my actual question, what should I offer the guy for this baby?

KBB is showing the car to be worth around 21k with 8k miles on it
Not a bad price at all for what the car is either.
Offer him about 15k for it, and he'll probably jump all over it, but may want to go higher.

yeah i say the 15-20k dollar range with 8k unbelievable miles on it in mint cond. Those things run pretty high wih low mileage and in mint cond. Even the low L98s G92s run aroun the 10-15k dollar range in very low in mint cond.

There's been one on this site's classifieds for the last 3 or 4 months. Hasn't sold at $12,500. Has all the typical mods that you'd do to one of those to remove the factory bottlenecks, doesn't sound "hot-rodded" or excessively raced but you never know, don't know mileage or condition.
So what it one really worth, anyway? $21k if one won't sell to enthusiasts for $12.5k? Hmmmmm.........

A low mile TTA is worth alot. It will definetly be double digits. There are people out there that would pay near $20,000 for an 8,000 original mile TTA. Or more. (you never know with an enthusiast that really wants something)
Low mileage and original TTAs bring a lot of $$. I think the one on the classifieds has 70k+ miles. The mods don't really add value unless someone is looking for a car with mods. Most collectors prefer low mileage and stock and thus those cars command a premium. An 8k mile TTA in mint shape will probably bring $16k-$19k depending on the documentation, maintenance records, 100% stock condition etc.
