Camel Tan Replacement Seat Covers and Carpet

I am going to be replacing the seat covers and carpet in my GTA this winter. It is an '87 GTA so it has a specific color of tan that is diffrent from any other year from what I understand. Does anyone know exactly what color I need to order for both the seats and the carpet to get as close to a match as possible? It doesn't really matter who I order from, board sponsors are my first choice, but I will order from anyone. Either cloth or leather for the seats, whichever can get a closer color. So, who has had the swatches or knows which replacement color is correct?

According to the Parts & Illustration Catalogs you should have the following RPO's:

AQ9 - indicates Lear Sigilar seats.
62D or 62E - "62" Indicates color D or E would be the application.

Color 62 is Lt. Saddle / Medium Lt Saddle...

Lt Saddle was used from 1985 - 1987

Hope that helps.

John

That kinda helps, assuming I can find a color cross refrence somewhere. I am hoping someone who has done new carpet and seat covers can give me the replacement color code they used for a specific manufaturer that they know matches.

Hawks has Hampton Vinyl in a saddle for seat covers, but they only have medium doeskin, medium beige, camel, and sandlewood for the carpet.

I was able to get the carpet from Car motorsports. The quality is great, better than original. Call them and ask them to send you a carpet sample the same color as the carpet the guy with the Russet GTA bought. They'll remember me.

I installed the Car Pro Motorsports carpet in my Formula a few months ago. Color was custom to coordinate my stock camel interior with tan 4th gen leather seats. I got the set with the rubber backing like OEM. The overall quality of the materials and fit was very good. It was obviously molded from a 3rd gen floor pan as everything lined up well. The only thing I noticed is that the heel pads molded into the drivers side footwell were not in the exact same location as the original carpet. OEM was a little better but it's not objectionable. The carpet is shipped oversize; you have to cut the holes for the shifter, ebrake, seat belt bolts, power seat harness, and rear seat tiedowns and trim all the sides to fit. I saved the original carpet as a pattern and used chalk to mark the areas to cut. I'm very satisfied with the end result.

I paid $250 + S & H for the interior and cargo compartment. I went with the standard backing though to save weight.
