Diamond spoke rims

I was looking at an 87 ta today and the rims looked funny were there 2 types of Diamond rims?

There were 2 different offsets from front to rear if thats what youre talking about. The front were offset 16mm from the rear if I remember correctly. Other than that, Ive only seen one style of third-gen crosslace wheels.

Yes they did make a 15" version of a crosslace wheel.That may be why it looked different.It was a pretty common wheel.

There is also an early and late 16" crosslaced wheel. The 1987 version is a two piece design with the crosslaced welded into the hoop. The later is a once piece casting.

From the outside, the 1987 is missing one divot on the cross lace compared to the 1988-up.

About the only difference I can see is cosmetic. The early hoops where better finished from the factory, and the one piece cast sometimes have machining marks.
