Ive gotten the Vette thing already and I have only owned the car for a couple months.it was also called a camaro at the dragstrip but I think that was because the last time I was there I was in my Z and they were probably still looking at my tech data from that time. I also like it when stupid people around here think they are pulling up on a V6 firebird( most of them here are, only ever seen two other TAs here) and then I kill them so yeah mistaken identity is sometimes fun.

I've been thinking, and while my car never gets called a "Camaro" or a "Vette", people do often call my lil Jimmy a "Jeep". Sure it may look a little like a Cherokee and it's name starts with a "J", but it looks nothing like a traditional Jeep.
Or they call it a van. It's definitely not a van.

Some people don't even know all the GM brands, it's just an over abundance that once was expressed in print in that GM might consider fewer models under each division, however, that's the cornerstone of GM design history vs. Ford.
I had most recently been asked in the local Goodwill if that was my Trans Am outside and if I wanted to sell, to which I referred it was a Firebird Formula and a rare car I wasn't intending to sell, just put back in action.
If it came down to it though, for the right price, I'd consider the work of resto vs. the offer! hehe
I like having a real low production GM product though, it's worth investing in, yet, it still maintains daily-driver duties.
An old couple once commented aloud about the white sporty car, IIRC, not knowing what it was... that's even more scary
Hey, people, remember American Cars at all? I'd like to know if they confuse imports as easily

Yes, there were foreign assembly plants, but they were not used to assemble cars sold in the US or for cars other than the 1st gens. The cars were also partially built before they went overseas. They were basically kits that were assembled once they got to their destination. This allowed for more cars per container than a completely built car.
Lordstown Ohio is not a 1st gen assembly plant.
The 4th gens were built, as we all know, in Ste Therese.

Where do you guys meet people?!
I've never had that problem... actually the exact opposite. When I was still in HS, the first day I brought my car to school after it had the 350 put in and was road-worthy again, I was walking in from the parking lot and a girl yelled out "Nice Z28!"
... Not "Camaro".... but "Z28" !!!
