Remember, this topic is about the '92 cars. Everyone seems to be going back to 87 - 91. The topics and subjects listed in this thread are mostly relating to 92. Actual facts about options available on an '87-'89 mean nothing in '92.

Wasn't custom cloth interior standard on Z's as well? I know I've seen older irocs with the standard cloth, but, correct me if I'm wrong, weren't the 16 in wheels and custom cloth interior all part of a package in 92? Which was standard in the Z's..

I've got a 92 RS. And as far as I know, it came from the dealer with the Aluminum 16" Z28 wheels. I've also read elsewhere that the package with the wheels included the Z28 swaybars. And I also recall something about my cloth interior being some sort of deluxe option (Dove Grey color). I don't have the original console lid with the RPO codes, so I can't say for sure... but this is all very interesting. Guess I can put off those new sway bars for a little while.

I am curious about this as well. Obviously 16s were std on 91/92 Z28 and I know custom cloth was not in '91 so I seriously doubt it would be std in '92 but if anyone knows for sure I'll add that little info to the database in my mind

i am a proud owner of a 1987 Camaro Sport Coupe its a V6, TTOPS, AC, Cruise, and this car had gunmetal grey headlight pockets, the SC's secnodary color wich usually is located around the bottom of the car is what they painted the headligh pocket.....so yes there were 1987 Sport Coupes. and i almost bought a 1988 Sport Coupe, black with red int. had the 1990-92 style shifter but in white. and a 115 speedo. also had the l03

i have an interesting question for you guys that has puzzled me for years and years. Sorry about it because it is about a 91 Camaro RS. But anyways i bought my car from my cousin about 6 1/2 years ago in the best condition i think you could find one in and for cheap. My cousin never did ANYTHING to these car not even a flowmaster or K&N filter. The car was completely stock. The car is a 91 RS w/ 16in wheel package and a 305 TBI, The dash in the car say 25th Annaversary edition (sorry cant spell). I am pretty sure he wouldnt or anyone before him wouldnt have put that emblem on the car. Has anyone else ever seen this in a 91 before? and once again sorry for getting off the 92 subject. THanks guys

i believe all 1992 camaros got a dash badge that says
A."RS 25th anny"
B."Z28 25th anny"

as far as i know from just looking at cars no Rs got Z28 swaybars from factory

RS gets standard
3.1 v6
15" rims 215-65-15 tires
solid front and rear swaybars

Rs optional
305 Tbi v8
16" rims with 235-55-16 tires
mid grade springs

Z28s get standard
305Tpi v8
larger swaybars
Bowtie grill and fogs
hood with blisters
high rise spoiler
16" rims Standard 235-55-16
leather steering wheel shift **** and E-brake handle
heavy duty springs that give lower ride hight and harder ride
black headlight pockets

z28 had optional
350 tpi
145 speedo
245-50-16
1LE
Rear disk brakes
wonderbar

im not going to get into every option but there are the basics

my 91 Rs V6 is a true base model at best only options being auto/AC and it had solid front rear sway bars

i added iroc "camaro"grill /iroc hood/3rd brakelight iroc spoiler/
1LE swaybars and 16" wheels
so if someone would just see my car it looks like it came this way factory

so for everyone saying this or that only came with this but then someone says well i saw this one "blah blah blah" that had this "blah blah blah"option and this "blah blah blah" package

well it very well could be a rare car or it could be the owner had dealer installed options or that they upgraded it or removed things

thanks and sorry for the long post

my car came with 15" body color rims. It also has the heritage edition with the body color grill and black headlight pockets. I know what you guys are talking about with that sensor. At idle if i turn the wheel the RPMs jump up about 200-300. I also have the Rpo G80 for a posi rear end and i have a 3.1
