Whatever happened to Project Third Gen?

This was an old 84 Trans Am with an L69 that GMHTP was doing a monthly series on a few years back. They abandoned the car and I thought sold it to an old admin of thirdgen.org. Does the car still exist? Anyone here know?

Are you talking about the '84 T/A L69 that High Performance Pontiac was featuring back in 1996-99?

The dash pad is in my car Yes, really!

The HPP car was sold to a guy in NYC (w/o the drivetrain IIRC), he used it as a parts car. I presume he junked it after he removed the parts. I bought the dash pad from the car in March.

This is what the seller told me. I have no reason not to believe him.

I have yet to see any articles. If anyone has any pics of the car or anything please post them, and I may be able to verify if it was my dash pad. The dash pad had some glue on it (fro ma radar detector or something...) If the HPP car had something on the dash in the same spot...then we may have a match.

I think those are 'sister' publications, but I seem to recall a 'street sleeper' project that was a blue Firebird, light blue if memory serves?

I can't recall where I read it, but I longed for one closer to my specs and different ways to approach improving it. In reality though, doesn't everyone?
