Not much to diagram.
Power goes from the fuse box, to the brake light switch, to the turn signal switch, back out of the TS sw to the bulbs. There's nothing except one piece of wire between the back of the fuse block and the brake light switch.
If you have no pwer at the brake light switch, then you have a bad fuse block, a blown brake light fuse, or that one piece of wire is bad.
You can pull the fuse and check for 12V at one side of the fuse; then put the fuse back in once you're sure it's good, and take the 2 long screws out of the corner of the fuse block, lift it off, and check for 12V on the terminal at the other end of the fuse; then check for 12V at the brake light switch. Wherever the 12V disappears, that's your problem.

Old thread I know, but I figured I owuld throw this out for someone that might have the same problem that I did.
I was having issues with my 88 GTA's tail light brake lights not working.
3rd (top) brake light lit up, turn signals worked, reverse worked, regular lights worked.
I looked up a bunch of diagrams online and found that some had different colours and stuff, but none showed anything different than the expected brake switch directly to tail lights. Very basic. The only place that showed something different was @ autozone.com with their diagrams:

Notice the part that has the part that says trans am or other that has a light blue wire that turns into a white wire? Yea, that white wire was partially pulled out on my car. Talk about a pain in the butt to figure out. Had the whole side of the car pulled apart trying to find a short in a wire. Bulbs were good, brake switch was new, etc etc.
I suppose maybe it's just a firebird/ta/gta thing. No idea, but I figured I'd throw it out as something else to consider if you've got one.
