nope. there never was an option for gfx on the berlinetta series camaro. however there are several places that build gfx for the berlinetta now and it does not take modifications to the car really to install them

here is one of the links for one of the places that sells the kit.
http://www.customautotrim.com/bodyki...t.htm?group=18
the kit is made by Xenon body kits. so far this is the cheapest i have found the kit at. but it includes the front bumber piece. and all.

also if you do a serach for 82-92 camaro body kits you may find many other sites listing the kits, as well as a few other more custom style kits. I know so far of 4 custom style kits for the camaro base and burlinetta models.. just can not find the links

Thanks! I wish i would have found a V8 with the same model, but it seems that this Model is very rare in my area. Ill be swaping a V8 in some time in the next 3 years i hope.

the '83 berlinetta camaros are rare everywhere.. everyone either got a z-28 or a base model.. more z28's than anything though. If you were in minnesota I have a 305 block that just needs a good cleaning and new cam/ lifters/ timing chain put into it. and a little head work since it is an older block. heh.. But then. it is always nice to have a spare engine just in case lol

Aint that true lol, wish i had the money and storage to get another enigne. the only thing wrong with this engine right now is that there is a part of the wireing harness right over the distrubter bolt, making this engine almost impossable to time lol! that, and it seems i cant get my engine to run as good as it does warm.. (wants to die out on me when the car is just started up)

i am sure you can find a 305 longblock for pretty cheap since most people are switching to the 350's in fact a 350 is cheaper brand new here than a brand new 305

I think its tuned right, but the thing is, that the engine wasnt taken care of by the previous owner.. and i have no clue what has been done to it, so im taking one problem at a time, righ tnow im trying to track down vacum leaks which is a bitch! lol

yea. that can be. another thing is check to make sure the vac advance on the distributor is working properly and hooked up to the timed spark port. Anther thing is is it could need a new cam / lifters
The engine in mine before i switched ran ok for a bit after i bought it. then it started crapping out. checked everything and it ended up being the cam took the bottom of a lifter off.. at which point you have metal in the engine.. and need to give it a good cleaning. new cam. and new lifters.
Other things to look at after vac leaks is ignition problems... which is alot of the time what it may be

How would i check the vacume advance? (ill read up on my haynes manual but i dont think they say anything about it, but ill dubble check) This will be the next think i will check though, after that the cam and lifters. then after that ill look at any ignition problems, right now, i think my choke is on its last few miles, gonna get the carb rebuilt soon i hop.

it is summer. just disconnect the choke so it stays open lol. The vac advance is the diaphram that is on your distributor with a vacuum hose attached to it. easy to check really.. take your timing light... and look where the timing mark is at with the hose on. then take the hose off and see where it is at. If it does not move.. you vac advance is not working right. $23.00 at a bumper to bumper or champion auto store. Without the vac advance on a stock engine, with the original carbs and such.. you will have a very crappy running car. since it will not have the correct timing to run at the different throttle points
Mine is stuck. and does not work.. pretty much blows until i hit 2500 rpm then it runs like a crazy thing. but up until the reaches where the timing is set , it will not go worth the crap. almost like a stumble.. but only because the timing it basically retared compared to where it should be until it reaches the RPM at which that reatarded ignition works best

not to many people even have vac advance on many cars.. especially on the 4th gen cars and such. as soon as you have full electronic ignition anf fuel injection.. the vac advance goes away pretty much. It is also not covered hardly at all in the haynes manual. Had to go to my father automotive repair books for those years to find it. and how it works exactly

4th owner of the car. it came with an L69 HO block in the car. I know not original. But when I put in the stuff 427 i am sure i will start getting lots of this stuff again. doesn't matter. what is in the car is what i will say. but yea. when i got it there was an l69 black in the car. took it out. switched with 305. then switched with another 305 HO. not like it matters. not a whole lot diffrent in the engines that i can see other than more compression, a different cam and heads.

Actually, if youve driven an LG4 and an L69 and compared them....youd know the difference. The heads are the same between the two, but the L69 not only has the increased compression and better cam as you mentioned...but the real L69 cars also had a much better exhaust system from the heads to the street, had different carb jetting, and much better rear end gear ratios. All that together gives you a high 14-low 15 second car, as opposed to a 16 or 17 second car.
