ICIWM: CAMARO...the book
ICIWM: In case it was missed, I just came across a rather new book, an account of Camaro history, that even as a Firebird fan, I found worth a decent look. The book lists 2000,2004 as publishing dates I think...Will try to get a few shots, unless people here know of it already.
I found the segments on the TPI block quite interesting, as some might know, the engines sharing platforms is one reason purists frown on the lineage of the 3rd gens, however, the book points out, the handling of the 3rd gens, along with the TPI engine are high points in the 80s life of the F car(s)
The book is self titled; Camaro By Anthony Young and printed by Motorbooks International
Also, take a look at the new Popular HotRodding for a story, albeit short, on Camaro vs. Mustang that you may relate strongly too, like me, or the article on the new Vette motor LS7 we may see much more of, considering it's being mentioned as a crate motor!

I brought the book to my folks and seem to have left it there, also having a minor computer meltdown...keeps shutting down unexpectedly and losing all work in progress...very exasperating.
I think it's likely the book was mentioned here before...try a search engine for details...the book has two or three chapters on the 1980s 3rd gen models and some nice details and pics about the 350, Tuned Port Injection and other engines during that period. I had been wondering on how that induction came to be. Also a recent Motor Trend on the stands as I type this lists a new induction being brought out at GM to up horsepower... bringing their V6 to equal or more power then the V8!
@John/Okfoz; Just CAMARO is the title
- it is an excellent book!
