Anyone have access to a 92 Camaro Service Manual?

(Mods feel free to move this to another section, i am not quite sure where it goes)

I have been having a problem with my hatch pulldown mechanism since i've had my car. It will pull the hatch all the way down, click, but then it will bring it back up. So therefore, we dont use my hatch because it rarely closes. My dad (an ex pontiac mechanic) says the service manual will have ways in which to diagnose the problem, however the cheapest i can find one is about $65 and money is EXTREMELY tight around here right now so i cant really spend that much. I was wondering if anyone had the 92 service manual and could maybe scan or take a high res shot of the pages involving the hatch pulldown that may help me out. I wanna get this fixed because im getting my car tinted on saturday and their gonna have to open the hatch to do so..

Section 8A-135. I don't feel like scanning a telephone-sized manual. I would have placed this post in Body and Interior or Electrical.

If the hatch pulldown/release unit cycles up and down it's usually the latch switch. Disconnect the leads to it and see if it still cycles. TDS sells it as a Striker Sensing Switch.

If the cycling stops it's the latch switch, otherwise the problem is the reversing switch.

This reminds me I need to diagnose why my car hatch will not release using the key. I think it has to do with the my alarm. I'll need to study my service manual. Hmm Chart #3.

Alrite well i am thinking right now, even if i ordered the part today...i might not get it in time to have it installed by saturday. I leave the house at 7 am and come back close to 7 PM so i dont have much time during the week. IS there any possible way to get the hatch to close if this striker switch is malfunctioning. From what i gather from you, and the link you gave me...the thing will operate but alot of times wont work right. So im thinking maybe it just takes a few times to get it to close or what... ???

And yea i can see now that this belongs in a different forum..so any mod checking this out if you could move it please...maybe even rename it.

I had that problem with my car. If you look at the motor, there should be small cutouts in the metal that act as switches for the motors. All i had to do was look for the switch that put the motor in reverse and i bent it slightly downward (i think) and it worked fine.
