87 & 88 T-top LB9, MX0 (A4), J65 Formula owners wanted

I was looking through some dealer ordering information and I found that in 1987 and 1988 T-tops were not available with a 305 TPI, A4 & 4 wheel disk brakes on the Formula.

Does any one out there have an 87 or 88 Formula, T-tops, 305 TPI, Automatic, with the J65 4 wheel disk brakes???

It seems really strange that they would limit it like that, but who knows...

Very strange indeed, it was quite common on the Iroc-z. Like mine.

I have also heard things like that for my year T/A as I have an 88 transam, A4 305tpi and my t tops are actually an aftermarket install.

it does not reference the T/A, only the Formula on the sheet.

However you could get it with the M5 trans...

The rear disk puzzled me for a while. I have a 88 IROC vert with the G92 RPO and the other perfromance drive train RPOs. In a non vert, rear disks are part of this. I though it was strange that it don't have rear disk brakes. Anyone have a vert with rear disks from factory?

I THOUGHT the IROC vert was available only the LB9 with the M5 OR the LG4 with the A4 in 1987... WAs it likewize in 1988, LO3/A4 or LB9/M5?

This is the link to the RPOs for my 88 IROC Vert. I'm not sure if all IROC Verts in 88 had the LB9 or not. I would think so. This is proof that they all didin't have the M5 though.

Looked it up at

http://www.camarosource.ca/php/camar...nfo_2&bmid=38.

You could get the LO3 or the LB9 in the IROC Vert with either tranny.

Dan,

Yes, my 1988 IROC convertable came with 4 wheel disc brakes (RPO J65).

Thanks Chuck. I thought the G92, G80, and GU5 meant that J65 would be included. I read this on another Camaro site for the non vert IROCs, I was wondering if it applied to verts. I guess not since I have all of those, but not J65.

All 350's came with 4 wheel disc brakes, What I am looking for is a T-top 305 Auotmatic with 4 wheel disc brakes...

As odd as it sounds I am not sure if they exist in 87 & 88 on the FORMULA.
