Hey guys and gals!!!

I just picked up second ever third gen...it is a low mileage 89RS that is 100% original...needs to be painted, a transmission overhaul and some little cosmetic stuff...

Plans are to clena it up real nice and put some simple bolt ons and appearance details.....

I am parting out an 85 monte ss and all my perf stuff so I can make some room for her in the garage...She comes home this week.

Just wanted to say hi and look forward to this board!

Thanks!
Mike

You're parting a Monte SS and building a Camaro RS? That sounds like a downgrade. How bad is the Monte? I hate to see a good SS go to waste. I could see if you bought a Z28 or IROC-Z. That would seem more like an even trade. Best of luck with the new car.

Believe me, I did not want to part the car out but the car needs a new roof. When I took the t-top tin off of it, the roof peeled up with it and there were some huge holes!! Also found some rust in the frame, etc. plus I have 4 mo. old son now, so it would take me forever to get that car finished..It was bare bones roller when I bought it...the camaro is great..just needs paint and some cosmetic stuff..

Thanks for the welcome

If both are a V-8 then most of the stuff in the monty should fit into the camaro (except the headers i suppose) Might be something nice to do and that way you lose less in the sale and buying.
