How much to pay for a 92 Trans Am convertible???
HELP!!! I'm trying to figure out how much to offer for a 92 Trans Am convertible that my brother in law is thinking of selling. It's red, has tan power leather seats, and a bone stock 305 tpi auto. The body is great but the paint has faded on the trunk lid so it will need repainted. The top is ok but ideally it should be replaced (the rear window is perfect). The brake calipers are leaking a little and the rear seat leather is bad on the top. It has 68,000 miles. I know these are rare but does that impact the value much? What's a good price?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I paid 7k for my old 92 firebird vert w/305tbi and it was in great condition, that was 4 years ago. So I agree 7-10k.

I could have picked up a nice Black Trans AM Convertable for about $6500, it had 120K but it was almost flawless, well taken care of, the brown leather interior too...

I wouldn't have expected to pay even 7k for one but from what I've seen over the last few years it does seem as if the prices on our 3rd gens are going up and it's really hard to find a clean original one anymore. They've owned it for about 12 years so I know most of the history on the car too. Hopefully I can get a "family discount".... Thanks guys!
Just curious how many 'vert TA's were made in 92? I've seen a lot of different numbers and none seem to agree?

Three years ago I paid $6200.00 for a 91 TA Vert with 73k on the clock.
It was a 305 TPI 5 Speed car with tan leather.
The paint was faded but it was in otherwise nice shape.
I used it as my daily driver to keep miles off my TTA
