I've noticed on SOME, not many, '91 TransAm's and GTA's that the word "PONTIAC" that is molded into the talights is actually painted in to stand out.......I no this isn't a mod as I have seen far to many 100% stock cars with this.

My question is, was this a factory or dealer option?? Was it standard?? If so, should my '92 GTA have this too, which it doesn't???? Was this just a '91 thing????

Help me out on this!!!! I can't find any RPO code for it either which would make it either dealer, or just how the "Special Taillights" came.......................

I'd be interested in knowing as well. Though I have a Formula ,I changed the taillights to GTA units and they came from the parts dept. with the PONTIAC in red. I have seen a few that had nothing on the center as well.

Yeah.........I've seen them in Red and Grey. I hope someone can shed some light on this so I know wether I'm going to have to paint mine to be stock

 

they came on all 91-92 Trans am and GTA they were Painteed or somesort of decal, But they wear off easily, if you see them and it doesnt day Pontiac in the middle , look really hard you can probably still see the outline. BUT yes they cam On all TA and GTA , they are know as the two piece tail lights.
