2nd gen camaro question...

not far from here i spotted a camaro ive been eyein up for awhile now.. finally stoped and took a close look at her the other day to see that its a "454" camaro.. as so the fenders told me, engine code was K if i remember corectally, looked like a factory paint job, white with black rally stripes, and a oversized cowl induction hood which also looked pretty stock, including the "cowl induction" tags.. i was just wondering if anyone would have any info on this what to me seems like a rare breed..

Well, Chevy never offered a 454 Camaro. The biggest-engined Camaros were the COPOs of '68 and '69, and those were 427s.

There were originally plans to offer the 454 in '70 Camaros, but that never happened...I forgot why. The only big-blocks offered in '70s Camaros were 396s, for '70-'72.
