Bright blue metallic? I think that's what I have. Tell me, is this the color?

If so, I've heard that it is a bit of a rarity. Can't give you numbers, though.

The 1985 Bright Blue Metallic was specific to that year, I believe..... the 1986 Blue was darker. I know that you sure don't see it much these days.

The IROC-Zs were fantastic looking in that color..... hell, so were the T/As for that matter.

If you check the service parts tag it will give you the paint code it should be 30u.My Pontiac dealer remembers he sold only one in this color in 85 mine. The only other car i,ve seen in this color was an 85 Z28 and he pulled me over to ask about it.Tom85T/A

My "Firebird Red Book," which has production #s in it, will be in on Thursday...I hope. When I get it I can post how many '85 Firebirds came in that color...won't be able to tell you how many were T/As, though.

you mean this one , eh ?

yeah... they are rare... I have only seen one other 3rdgen TA in that color , and it wasn't even original paint... mine is (well , some moron painted it dark blue , but it's supposed to be this code 30 GM bright blue metallic color...) (I have repainted it last year to the original bright blue metallic that you can see in the pic)

gotta love it

(by the way , I don't think any firebird had them, at least I havent' seen one yet with it... just my TA and that other one..)
