1984 2 seat convertible t/a F/S in Maine
Someone here asked about when Pontiac sold the first convertible third gen. My understanding is the first true factory (still sent out, but as close to factory as you can get) Firebird/T/a was 1991. But Pontiac did market an aftermarket-built 2 seater in 1984, through its Pontiac dealer network.
If anyone wants one, my friend wants to sell his. He bought it last summer from the original owner, a doctor's wife (true story). It is white with blue stripes and blue interior. It is original everything - paint, drivetrain, etc. It has, I believe, 33k miles or less. I don't know what he wants for it but it's certainly unique and in primo condition - I've seen it myself.
If you want more info you can email me directly at bird@javanet.com
