I know I've asked this before, but maybe one of you out there knows something. Back in '85 while I was at Superior Pontiac in Tampa, I saw two high performance Firebirds with "Warbird" and "Blackbird" decals on the doors where the Formula decals normally go. Anybody ever heard of these elsewhere? I'm thinking it was a dealer project similiar to the old Yenko or Nickey 1st gen. Camaros...

in 1991 pontiac produced two engineering experiments to see "what could be". the origins of the 1991 cars (Firefox and Firehawk) have been used years before and was also used in preperation for the 20th-annivarsary trans am. perhaps the cars you saw were ancestors of these 1991 cars. read december 1991s Motor Trend
