The Z28 and IROC-Z ground effects are identical, only the color is different.

But please note that the 82-84 Z28 ground effects are NOT the same as the 85-90 IROC/Z28 style. The 91-92 are different but interchangable, but the 82-84 are not really interchangable. The whole nose is different, and the side pieces are a different shape. The lower chin on the nose mounts to the fender slightly differently on the 82-84 style as well.

In retrospect, I should have made myself clearer. So here goes again. Jim is right on every count. I just need to elaborate a little.

The 82-84 GFX was exclusive to the Z28. The Sport Coupe did not have any GFX (except 88 - explained below). The front nose and rear bumper cover were also different on the Z28. The front nose had accomocations for the front GFX, the rear bumper cover had GFX incorporated into it.

The 85-90 style was used on the Z28 (85-87), IROC-Z, RS (87-90) and Sport Coupe (88 only). These were all identical, except color scheme. RS's and IROC-Z's had them painted body color. The Z28 had either silver, gold or charcoal painted GFX. The 88 RS had either silver or gold GFX.

The 91-92 style was used on both RS's and Z28's and were identical on both models.

Note: No Berlinetta (82-86) ever came with factory GFX. It came with the same nose and rear bumper cover as the Sport Coupe for those years.

Hope this clears it up somewhat.

      Willie

      Re: ground effects IROC/Z28

Hey, I was wondering I have a 84 Camaro, just a plain old camaro and am looking to make it into a z28/Iroc haven't decided yet. But I know a guy with a 85 z28 bumper and ground effects I was wondering if that will fit on a 84?
