What does the L41 mean?

What does the L41 mean?
My 84 camaro has the letters L41 on the bumber. Does any one know why?

Are you sure it's not F41? (maybe it's worn or ripped?) F41 is HD suspension RPO.

I agree, especially if it's on the rear bumper!! Should say F41.
