Try the thirdgen section of www.nastyz28.com
I know he has the engine/tranny combos broken down by year.

Approximately 34K Camaros came with a manual tranny in 1982, that's the best I can do.

The '82's used 2 different 4-speeds, the first one was a saginaw type used in the 4 and V-6's, and the Borg Warner was used with the V-8. the total 4-speeds in '82 was 34170. Chris

Trans Am numbers:

1982..........Auto......manual........Total
305 (LG4).....32,892....7,033.........39,925
305 LU5)......13,037.....0000.........13,037
Total:........45,925....7,033.........52,962

My car came factory equiped with a Saginaw 4- speed behind an (LG4). No breakdown between Saginaw/Borg-Warner that i can find. But Saginaw's were used with 8 cylinders however not the same Saginaw that the 4 cyl. and V-6's had. If your thinking rare combo or collector value, just throw either 4-speed in a box and save it because they are both junk tranies and will not hold up to any good power. The gear ratio's are too far apart. Use the Tremec's for power.
