i have a 89 camaro and i broke a t-top and i was wondering if the tops from a 84 trans am will fit. is there anything wrong with that? like should i not put pontiac parts on a chevy? or... let me know. They are they same roofs right?

 

It the tops from the trans am dont have hooks but rather straight pins like on your camaro, and they are factory tops, they will fit just fine.

 

No they won't be a direct change, the 84 and older ttops use hooks instead of pins. Find as close a year as possible to yours for a direct swap.

My 84 has pins. My 83 has hooks.
If the tops have pins they should work fine.

 

They changed them in 84 1/2 (not exactly 84 1/2) because my T/As have some funky *** inter-year stuff on them.
