Yes, the 350's are only in the IROC's. If it says that, the engine isn't stock.

First, it must be understood that the IROC-Z (RPO B4Z) was a visual/handling package option on the Z28 (for 1985 - 1987). So technically speaking, the 350 was available on the 1987 Z28 but only with the IROC-Z option.

You never know, it could be a very rare VIP car that sneeked out of the factory with a 350.

Sometimes, when people are selling these cars they often mistakenly describe the 305TPI as a 350TPI in their ads.

If you can, look at it in person to find out what it really has in it. Checking the numbers on the block is going to be rather difficult. You may have to remove the engine accessory bracket from the RH side of the engine to veiw the VIN numbers on the engine pad.

Goodluck!

If the vin doesn't show an 8 in the 8th digit for an L98 it doesn't matter whats under the hood or if GM stuck it there or if it was done in a garage. Unless its fully documented that the car was equipped at the factory with a 350, it might as well be a backyard conversion.
