I need to know what exactly did the 1992 1LE package contain? I was told this was a police package? I need to know if this was anything internal withing the engine or just a suspension package with a larger alternator etc?
I need this info quick before the motor is gone

The 1LE package was intended for racers,it included the performance axle ratio,bigger brakes,aluminum driveshaft,and special shocks.It also deleted AC.It was available mostly with the LB9/5spd but some L98/autos had it.To my knowledge,no LB9/auto had it.Horsepower was rated the same,although without AC,the engines probably had more hp at the wheels.

Was the 1LE usually on police cars? This engine was described as a 1LE police package. If it really is out of a police car what differences in the VIN or RPO code should I look for. Also did the police package have a different cam or any other differences??

hey the police package was the B4C package. and that included RS body with Z28 everything else. nothing really changed in the engine on any camaro 350's 90-92 all the same. they were all rated at 245HP and that was it. dont let them fool you. and yes the 1LE was just suspension stuff. all of what was listed earlier. nothing added to engine.
have fun man, buy some parts and have extras or sell them. it sounds like you might be getting a good deal so why not make a buck or two.
