I have an 85 z28 305 that I am going to drop into a firebird, but I wanted to know what they have HP and Ft.lbs-wise. It has the computer controlled carb on it if that helps.

there were two 305 carbed motors that year one had 165 hp and the other 190 hp. I don't know the torque on them. Do you have the car it came out of still? If so we could decode the VIN and see which one it had.

The LG4's torque was 245 ft/lbs at 2000 rpm and the L69's torque was 240 ft/lbs at 3200. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the 1985 Lg4 rated at 155 hp in the Camaro and 165 hp in the Caprice and Impala?
