GM NOTCH BACK
I got an original GM notchback on my Formula. I know that there were 625 GTAs that got the notchbacks in 88.
What does a notchback(the part) worth, by itself?
Does anyone have an aftermarket notchback? What does it look like on the inside?

Just a guess off the top of my head but I'd say an original GTA notchback hatch in excellent condition is worth about $400-$600 depending on who wants it.

Maniac, when GM had them available from parts (don't know if they still do or not) they were about $2200.00. Most of them were warrantied beacause of bubbling, so you can count on about 1000 on the street. Mine was a warrantied piece that i resurfaced.

Alex, you're a bit low there..... especially for those who have a GTA Notchback that is "sans hatch". I'd say you could get from $800-$1,000 (especially if it's in great shape), but it definitely is "supply vs. demand". Lots of people want them..... but there are few around these days.
I've been offered $2,000 for my extra decklid by three different parties, so I know for a fact that people who need them will pay serious money to get a good GM piece.
Luckily, I got mine for $150..... from an F-Body yard that was tired of looking at it.

Frankie you're lucky!! I bought an aftermarket targa(notch)hatch like 13 yrs ago and paid around $700 for it--sold it to someone and he still has it--still looks good too! The body shop had alot of problems w/it tho(fit) Didn't like how the interior part of it looked--looked unfinished to me.
Do you or does someone else have a pic of the inside of it?

i know this particular part is for camaros, but i don't see why it couldn't be adapted for firebirds.

Thanks guys for the info. I got mine for $300 in good shape. The original paint is starting to bubble but not too bad. Since it was the same color as my car I didn't bother re-painting it. I kinda like it on the GFX-less Formula. I changes the whole look of the car.
