Hi,

i saw one of these (late 80's i think) on the street when i was driving, and i was just wondering what it was. I have'nt been able to find any info on it yet...

Depends on the year, but 84's were all white, blue stripes and interior, numbered dash plaque, and from there it varies. I havent seen a V6 one yet, they have all been V8's. Most of them have a rear spoiler, reason I say most is every one of the numbered cars have it, the pre-production unnumbered cars didnt have it (like the one I had). They were done by a guy at a dealer in Arizona, and sold at various places.

I dont know much about the 83's, but they are silver and have the spoiler too. I dont think I have seen any newer than 84.

 

I drove by the dealership again...'87, V6, blue/grey, auto, 129,000 miles, $2,600, the body looks perfect. If it ran nice would it be worth it? (my 83 z28 is all stock, and starting to feel its age)...

An 87? Really? Never heard of an 87... though that doesnt mean they werent made.

If you are looking for a car, I dont see why not... but if you are looking for something collectible, I would have to say dont waste your time. V6 doesnt really thrill me either, if I were you I would drive it first...

 

I had never seen or heard of these before until I came across an ad on CL last year. At the time it was listed, I emailed the ad to see if they would mind if I posted the pics but never heard back. Since there seem to be no pics of this year of this rarity on the site or elsewhere, here they are. I'll remove if someone requests it. This car's paint has taken a beating but it gives you an idea of what the extra badging/graphics looked like.
