What are differences between 90 Iroc and 91 Z28?
Other than cosmetic changes, what differentiates the last of the Irocs from the re born Z 28 nameplate? For instance were any of the things that Made the Iroc the high end of the Z 28 line( lowered ride height, wonder bar etc) during its 5 year run left off of the 91 Z 28, or was everything basically the same and just the cosmetic aspect of the car changed?

i have to agree, should be all the same. i would note one difference- there is something special about an iroc..... okay, that was uncalled for; i didn't mean to belittle ANY thirdgen, as they all are beautiful and i count my blessings for the two i've owned. both just happen to be irocs!
Strangely enough, a lot of people agree with him. I see Irocs around here go for 1.5 times what an equal or better Z goes for. I don't know if they are just not knowledgable, or if they like the legacy of the Iroc
the difference in prices is just like the tommy hilfiger jeans, the levis cost less and last the same amount of time, you just want to spend an extra 30 bucks on the tommys cause the have the tommy logo on them

One interesting fact is that the "wonderbar" was not installed on the 1991 or 1992 Z28. This makes the wonderbar an IROC-Z exclusive!!

There are sutbtle differences, aside from cosmetics. First, besides the wonderbar, the standard tire was a P235/55/16 Goodyear Eagle GA, not a Goodyear Gatorback. Secondly, supposedly the suspension was tuned to be a little softer versus the previous year's IROC.
I pulled these from a "Last IROC" test in a March, 1990 road test in Motor Trend. After driving an IROC, they drove an early '91 Z28 and noted that between the tires and suspension tweaks, the car didn't have the same turn-in. Gatorbacks were optional, however.

The springs and shocks are different, and the 91-92 Z28's dont usually come with the IROC wonderbar. For some cars to have it would mean GM was trying to use up extra stock.
