90 camaro production.........

Okay, I know that production of 1990 Irocs ended in late December of '89 and production of 91 Z28s started early in '90.Was this the case for all Camaro models?Anotherwords was GM making the 90 RS in that year or did this model year cease production in 89 as well. This was not the case for Firebirds was it?

Yes, all 1990 f-body models ceased production on December 31, 1989. The 1991 models were introduced shortly after, but I dont know that date.

I'm pretty sure the White Book says and early start to the 91 year but did not give a specific start date for that year.

Wasn't it a GM strike that shut production down?

1990 Camaro production started 08-11-89 and ran through 12-18-89, this was for all models IROC's or RS's. 1991 production started on 2-05-90 and ran through 7-19-91. Chris

no it was not a strike that shut down it was the contract with the IROC racing series.
all production ceised on DEC 31,1989 of the IROCs and GM decided not to go on with the RS version so they brought back the Z and started the 91 Production year. that is why there are soo damn many 91s out there.

and that is a fact.
