Check our where I found my build sheet!
I removed my front license plate to do some cleaning underneath it. While doing it I pushed on my front bumper and heard a crinkle. So I reached underneath the car into the bumper and felt a sheet of paper. I thought it was an old newspaper that blew in but to my surprize it was my build sheet! It was in pretty decent shape for being outside the car but a little peice was ripped off. Anyone have a nice photo of a clean copy from an 89? I'd love to see what I'm missing.

That is amazing!! I guess their is no logical place where the build sheets were placed. They could be anywhere.
I am still hoping one day I will find mine is some off the wall place.

Here is one from an 87. I don't think it was changed too much over the 3rd gen years as my dad's 82 looks similar.

That's odd, but very cool. I'll definitely have to keep that area of the car in mind when looking for build sheets. Crazy spot to stumble upon it at though-If I were working on an assembly line I don't think I would stick a build sheet there-I'm REALLY suprised it is still pretty much in tact.
I could not believe it either! I was looking all over the interior and to find it on the exterior was strange. My car has only 20K miles and was garage kept all of its life. Otherwise I do not think it would still be intact. My build sheet does look different from the above. The one above looks much better and has more info. Thanks.

I found a corner of mine when I unbolted the passenger seat. It had obviously been placed on the floor, with the seat stud speared straight through. Then they bolted the seat down, the sheet was staked to the floor. i assume the dealer ripped it out and threw it away when they vacuumed the car out in preparation for the new customer.
