Part # for trunk pans?
Part # for trunk pans?
I see in Classic Industries that they have OEM trunk pans. Problem is $100 shipping ea. I get 25% off at local dealer and would save shipping! If I had a part # to give him. We went through the pics and couldn't find part numbers for them. Does any one have em?

What model & year of car?
The trunk floor on an 86 Trans Am is GM Part # 10297993 and list for 565.62 for example.
I can probably find the part # and list price for you. It's probably going to be pricey.

Couldn't you find a good trunk pan in the boneyard for like 1/10 of that? I can't recall even seeing a rusted out trunk pan in an f-body.

I think you're right. If it has rust there it has it in other concealed places. Texas, New Mexico, Oaklahoma, and Arizona are a few of the best places to buy "rust free" and reasonably priced.
The following has been an unpaid exhibition of opinion.
I'm in South Dakota and I've got 3 rust free cars. Just don't buy **** and you'll be fine. Most cars that have been driven in the crap that causes rust (salt, snow, etc) are also beat to hell on the top surfaces. Just don't buy junk cars and you've got a 90% chance its rust free. Rust is an abomination, not worth the trouble.
