25th Anniversary Model w/Police Package

How many 92 RS Police Packages were made?

What did they come equipped with from the factory?

All this and more.

There were 589 B4C's made in 92. Here is the info you are asking for:

B4C `special service' police package became available to law enforcement agencies only. Cars were RS coupes with Z28 5.0 TPI or 5.7 TPI drivetrains and Z28 suspensions. These cars came equipped with the 16 inch wheels and P245/50-ZR16 tires, engine oil cooler, rear disc brakes, and limited slip axle. Midway through 1991, the 1LE 11.86 inch front brakes and HD calipers became optional for the B4C. This package was the only way to get air conditioning and the HD front brakes. There were 592 1991 B4C Camaros built.

For 92 all B4C's got the HD front brakes!!!

Some came with power options and some were plain jane. In 92, you could even get leather with the B4C. I believe only 3 were made with leather.

Hope this helps!!!

Manny

not to slam ya bro but you could get ALL int. options (minus the radio) in a B4C in 91-92 that I know I have see about 5 with leather (only one that never made it into the polices hands) those are the guys that Im gona hate in ten years but like I said all options were avalable
with the raido the best you could get was AM-FM radio or radio delete (no tape deck or CD players were installed at factory I have seen one with a DELCO CD deck in it but i figure that was a dealer add-on)

and as for it being a 25th Anniversary Model
all 92s got that its not the full deal you could get on the RS or the Z28
just under the RS dash emeblum it says 25 Anniversary nothing big (i think that in 92 they made the RS have RS on there where it had CAMARO)
ok im done

While at Superfest, one original owner of a B4C was there with his beauty, 8000 miles if I remember correctly. He was lucky enough to be able to get his from a dealer who dealt with fleet orders and didn't give a hoot who ordered what. According to his research over the years, 49 cars made it into civilian hands. Here's pics...

He used to drive it daily until he found out how rare of a car it was for a civi to own. It's now trailered. I can appreciate where you're coming from though. And I'll bet you have the same love for your car as this man does but you get to enjoy your car more. If he adds a mile or two going from trailer to site(it depends on the show's rules for classification), how much of a thrill can he get? He'd be worrying about the conditions of the road moreso than feeling the ride and performance of the car.

As much as I'm a believer in driving your car, they're only original once and when you've got such a rare piece of automotive history, it's nice to see some people preserve their original condition for the rest of us to enjoy.

Not sure where he got the number 49, I heard it was less, and that was from a chevy dealer in CA that ordered 13 through the chief of police. Mine is one of those thirteen. I have since seen two of the remaining 11 for sale.

I drive mine daily. If I had a beater, I would definitely keep it off the road as much as possible.

As for the radio issue, I'll have to look at my RPOs, when I got the car, it didn't have the original radio.

Im not slamin the guy at all like I said I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THAT CAR and just charge people to see it but like I said he will never know the thrill of really driving it like with me when I got my 14.5 (see sig) thats at over 150000 miles I was/am so proud of the old girl that I could (and did) kiss the car
but i am glad that some people are keeping that past alive, and I fell that I am too ,but in a differnt way. its just my own pride that will be hurt when I show my car against something like that, dose that make my car any less valuable to me no but to a colector yes but oh well like I said he will never know the felling of hallin A$$ at 150 thousand

I know of three that were special ordered for civilians here in the Atlanta area. So now were up to 16.
