Weight of 89 Trans Am

The sticker on the inside of my door says that GVW is about 4200 is that possible. I've t-tops, 305TPI, all power except seats. I know t-tops and power options add weight but I didn't think our cars where that heavy. Please help me out this is bugging me.

This should be a FAQ

Thats not the vehicle weight, thats the GROSS vehicle weight, which includes how much it can handle fully loaded. Its probably around 3500lbs as it sits.
