I am pretty sure that the checkered lights came in 85 or 86 for all Z28's? but I am having an arguement with a guy who swears they are "iroc tailights"

 

They were used on all 85-87 Z28's, all the Irocs and every Camaro from 91-92 including the RS's.

Yeah they came on the 91-92 RS's,instead of just on the '85-90IROCs and '85-87 91-92Z28s.

Question: Did EARLY '91 RS's have the "non-checkered" tail lamps? The reason I ask is because I have a 5/90 Motor Trend test of an RS vs a Mustang 5.0 LX, and there is a rear shot of the RS in which it clearly has the earlier tailamps.

All the 91 prototype and promotional RS's got the single stripe lights. Actual production cars had the grid lights.
