92 formula convertible?

You guys are probably thinkin the same thing I am. Does not exist. A dealership in the area claims to have a 92 formula convertible with a L98. I dont believe formulas were available as converibles much less with the 350. I have the rpo and vin code for a 92 convertible and I am checking it out after work tomorrow. Most likely a conversion.

92 Formula 350 - YES

Could be possible, but my guess is if you check the VIN it wont say its a convertible. That doesnt mean that someone didnt order a 350 Formula and have it sent to ASC to be converted before it even got to the dealership. Only way to know for sure is to check it out.

I am not doubting that it is possible. However they are claiming it is all original GM and are charging a mint for it because of its rareity. True, there probably is not many converted, but if it was converted by the owner it wouldn't be particulary valuable because anyboby could have it done. It just makes me mad when someone trys to pull one over on you. I wont get a chance to see it till this weekend. In there defense, they probably dont know that factory formula convertibles were not offered.(they are not a GM dealership) But they should check it out before making such claims. I will let you all know what I find out about it.

Kinda like a lot around here said they had a 91 Z 350 with factory ttops. I said heck yeah I am going to look at that. C&C ttops. I told the guy and he said how do you know. I walked over to my 91 Z took the pass side ttop off and sat it on top of the C&C one and said see this is factory and that is not. They should really check these things out.
