from nastyz28:
1968 3970010 327 - - 2 A
1969-79 3970010 350 185 370 2 or 4 car, truck, Vette

from mortec
3970010....302.....69....4...Z-28 Camaro
3970010....327.....69....2...Trucks and industrial
3970010....350...69-80...2 or 4

That was sure tricky...

It's a 350. Very ordinary, very common, nothing special. It came in every 4.000" bore application from 69 to 81: cars, trucks, 2-bolt mains, 4-bolt mains, 165 HP, 375 HP, you name it. There's millions of them in the world. Unfortunately, a huge number of them are afflicted with the 70s starter problem and the 70s lifter bore problem, but so are all other 70s Chevy motors.

What is it you want to know about it?
