No. The Firebird spoiler NEVER came on a Camaro. In 88 the Camaro had an optional spoiler that was somewhat similar, but did not extend beyond the sides of the hatch surface.

This is what I think he is talking about, what I'm talking about anyway, but yeah the Firebird spoiler wasn't ever on a Camaro.

his must have seen switched. my wing was a 1988 only item. and it wasn't even on all sport coupes. I think they were used different times of the year. they were availiable in the dealer's 1988 brochure, which would make me think you could get them all year.
BUT rumor has it that they were the wing for sport coupes in the beginning of the year, but nobody liked them so they switched @ the middle of the year. (to the 3-piece wraparound spoiler) BUT my car is # 73,333 to roll off the assembly line, and it was delivered to it's owner 6/4/88, showing that it was near the end of the years production.

I'm the second owner, and I know it rolled off the line like that.

----- wait -----

does has car have ground effects like mine above????

if it does it's likely an '88 sport coupe.

uhhgghgh -- a '87 SC w/ my spoiler would prolly look really ugly.

I really don't like my spoiler. it's too boring, for such an exciting car. But it's the only thing that shows that my car is a '88 sport coupe any more.

I was checking out your sig. and do you have a 3200 stall with a V6, isn't that just a TAD overkill. Or am I missing something.

not really considering peak torque is @ 3900 and peak horsepower is @ 4900. launches 20 times better/harder than stock. because of the TC, I haven't lost a race yet to an automatic 2.8/3.1 camaro. (only a few races) never raced a stick v6 f-bod yet.

it has no trouble hanging with my girlfriend's '94 Grand Prix SE w/ 3.1 those have to be pushing out more than 140 horses (by 1994 @ least) and believe me we've gone head to head like a million times. I launch better, I am 1/4 car ahead till 35, she pulls 1/2 car on me till 65, and mine pulls WAY better above 70 and then it's all me.
