would this be wrong?
ok im planning on getting some silver heritage stripes this winter for my RS.i love the look of them and decided it necessary to have them.now my question deals with a sort of "conversion".i was thinking that it might be cool to get some 25th anniversary decals to also get for the car, despite it being a 91,not a 92.i just think that although they are small details, they do add a little bit of character.i would only get the correct ones and put them in the correct places,so it would look factory.what do you guys think?the way i see it people put 4th gen stuff onto their cars for looks,so what would be so wrong in doing this?thanks for any replies!

It's your car, you could put Mustang emblems on it if that's what you like. If it's my opinion you're asking for, then no, I wouldn't badge a car as something it isn't. If it's a '91, then nothing you could add to it will make it a '92. I am speaking of the anniversary badges of course. Stripes can be put on any car, regardless of model year, so I'd go for the stripes, but not the badges.

I would have to agree with the point, go ahead and put whatever you want on, but don't sell it to a person making them think it's a 25th anniversary.

First things first, this isn't really history or restoration, so I'm moving your thread to the appearance forum.
Second, do what you want to your car, but by applying 25th anniversary badges you're claiming your car is something that it is not. Anyone that knows better will be left wondering what else you're trying to pull over.
I think the stripes are fine, but why waste money on the 25th badging?
