Did all the gas tanks in Camaros have internal fuel pumps or not.I have a 85 SC with mpfi and got a gas tank from a 84 Z28 and need to put it in my car.If it has an external fuel pump will I be able to put a internal fuel pump in it?

I am guessing they changed to internal after '86, because I have an external fuel pump.

I'd venture an educated guess that every Fuel injected thirdgen will have an in-tank pump. Some of the carbed cars might also have in tank pumps, but none that I'm sure of.

All fuel injected cars did have in-tank pumps. As for the Carbed cars they had pumps on the block just like the old days.

86 Trans Am w/ built 355TPI with SLP goodies and too much other stuff to List. One sweet *** car, wish I would have had a good enough Job to pay insurance on three cars so I could keep it, but for a 89 Turbo Trans Am w/ Low miles, I think I made the right choice!

You should be able to swap the whole sender/pickup assembly from your old tank into the new tank.
