IROC question
I just looked at an 86 IROC today. It had some type of stereo system in it that had speakers/amplifier, etc. mounted on the bottom of that little trap door cover to the storage area. The dash emblem was the ERS emblem you see on most of these cars, but I've never seen all that extra stuff before. It also had split back reat seats. I hadn't seen any of those before either. Is this kind of uncommon, or have I been overlooking them on other cars?

The bucket seats in the rear are stock... If you've seen something different on a 3rd or 4th gen car then those were aftermarket.

The split-back (over buckets) was an option. I've seen many of them.

If the amps and speakers were molded into the plastic cover, then someone probably added at least part of the Delco/Bose sound system to the car from a later year fbody. If they were just attached to the cover, then they are definately aftermarket add-ons.
Were there speakers molded into the kick panels as well? That is also part of the Bose system.
