I was over looking at 3rdgenformula.com, and they had charts listing available tachomoeter and speedo combonations... The chart says that the 305 LB9 with the A4 with a 5000rpm redline and a 6500 max came with the 3.23 or 3.27 rearend... Are those the only possibilities?

I dnot have my RPO sheet, cuz my cars in storage 100 miles away... ut assuming its all the stock parts (dash, engine, tranny and rear) that means i have one of these two, correct?

 

Also add 2:73 ratio,which is the most common.

 

Thats my question though.... because they had a different tach/speedo combination listed for the cars that had the 2.73 rear end...

Mine has the 5k redline and 6500 max, i dont have the longer range tach. Im relatively certain its the original dash too....

Anyone know for sure?

 

5000 rpm redline is for the lb9 engine, now
the tach range should be 0 to 7000 rpm's.

For your info the 5sp lb9 redline is 5500rpm's
while the auto lb9 redline is 5000 rpm's
Both Tach's should have the 7000 max rpm;s
