RS is often jokingly referred to as standing for Real Slow...

The short answer to your question:
No, no TPI on RS's

The long answer:
RS introduced in '87 with only a LB8 V6 and only in CA... no '88 RS produced, '89 RS came with LB8 V6 or L03 V8 and '90-'92 RS available with either LH0 V6 or L03 V8.

In 91 you could get a RS with TPI even the 350 but it was a B4C, which is technically an RS, but is more of a Z28 in RS badging.

Willie has said it was possible to get a 305 TPI in a 90 RS Convertible, but none exist. Realistically, the only stock TPI engines in RS's are the 91-92 B4C police package.

Correction: 7,088 1988 RS's were produced and sold in California, Florida and Texas.

And to confirm what Kevin stated, the 305 TPI was an option on the 1990 RS Convertible, only none were produced.
