GTA 1LE

I own a 91 GTA with 1LE brakes. The sticker in the center counsel confirms that the car came with the J65 brakes. I am supposing that before I owned it someone has done a brake swap. According to production numbers no 91 GTAs came with the 1LE package. Were the rear disc brakes different on the 1LE package?
Another question I have is did the GTA come with the stiffer durometer 1LE bushings or was that specific to the 1LE package?

Any answers would be appreciated. I am just curious to see what I have before I start replacing everything. I have considered making it a 1LE car. Even know it wasn't produced that way it would be neat to see a 1LE GTA.

The rear disk brakes from 89 or 90-92 are the same 1LE or not. Typically the tell tale option is A/C, if the car had it from the factory, its not a 1LE. Bushing hardness varies from model to model, in my experiance the bushings on Iroc/Z28/Formula/TransAm/GTA are harder rubber than SC, RS, or Firebird bushings.
To tell if they're the same as 1LE bushings you'd need to get the part numbers.
Just keep in mind that dealing with a 91 GTA its a fairly unusual car. If you do decide to modify it, stay away from mods that require changing original parts, avoid drilling or cutting holes, etc. Save any original parts that you replace with aftermarket parts. An all original care will always be worth more to the general public and collectors than a modified car.

I knew the GTA was upper model trans am, but I was not under the impression they were rare. As far as keeping the stock parts I am already in the hole with the j65 brakes missing. I have added subframe connectors. Wether that will degrade the restoration status,,, who knows? I did go ahead and repaint it the factory color just incase I did keep it original. That wasn't cheap, but boy it looks good! I had the shop do it inside and out along with sothing over any factory imperfections. I do plan on keeping all factory pieces. Were there specific part numbers calling out the differences between a 92 L98 Camaro and the 91 GTA or will the numbersa be matching, because I have a 92 Camaro L98 as a parts car and I have already used the tranny.

In comparison to say, an 84 Z28 a 91 GTA would be rare. I know I've seen two of them in person in the last 5 years.

Technically the part numbers and markings on the engine, transmission, etc will have the VIN number or some kind of tie in. Also the transmission codes would be different. Just compare the parts, if they aren't identical it chances the possibility that it wouldn't be numbers matching.
