So I just picked up an 89 formula, and theres no A/C and I'm assuming that it was removed from the previous owner, but when I look at the build sheet I dont see the A/C code, which I've read is C60. Are there any other codes that could be the A/C or would this car have been ordered without the A/C to begin with?

 

Take a look at your heater/ac controls. If there is an a/c setting on the controls then it means that the a/c has been removed. But if there arnt any settings for a/c then either it never had a/c or the controls have also been changed. These are also some other RPO codes you could look for, Im not sure if all of them were f-body RPO codes but they are other a/c RPO codes. Hope that helps.

ya, i found that page with that massive list of codes. None of those codes are there. I'll check inside the car tonight after work and have a look if A/C controls are there.

 

So the car does have the AC controls sooo any ideas? Any AC RPO codes that I dont know of?

The only thing me n my friends could think of was that it came without AC and maybe the AC controls were put into to replace the heater controls that broke? or something...
