gfx colors

I am trying to figure out if my gfx on my 85 z-28 were a different color from the factory.

my paint code is L8596 dark blue. there is also v8596

Did all z-28's have a different color for the gfx?

thanks

in 85 the gfx could match the car color.

Sorry, this is about the stripes not the GFX themselves... but might help a little (discussion of stripe options)...

Are you sure the v isn't a U? Body colors for cars with gfx were usually designated with L for Lower body color and U for Upper body color. So a car that was all one color would show the same number with each letter.

The only way the GFX would be the same color is if the car was an IROC-Z. A standard Z28 always had a different color GFX until 1991.
