What do these number mean?? Core support

I am trying find out what the 6 digit number on the core support tag mean. The format is XX XXXX I have enclosed a pic of the tag I am talking about. Are these date codes??

this number is a job sequence number, the last 4 digits are some kind of sequence numbers, the first 2 refer to a batch number? the number is also located on the left side of the build sheet. the '91 RS I bought new was built on 12/10/90 and the numbers on the core support were 10-9008. I found a water test sheet from Van Nuys and they refer to body sequence by the last numbers, 9008 in this case. Chris
