86 asc camaro

I was wondering if anyone can tell me what an 1986 ASC camaro convertible is worth? I Sold it about a year ago and just wanted to know how big of a mistake I made by selling it.

I saw my first '86 ASC vert on ebay a few months ago. A few hours after it was listed it was de-listed/un-listed (what ever). So, I never saw what the 'market' thought about it. I thought it was so cool and unusual, I opened up a new post asking for info on the cars. Search in the convertible forum under 86 ASC vert, if you want to see the replys. I think I posted some pics that I salvaged out of my temp. internet files on my computer.

If you have any pictures, I would like to see them.

Do you know much about the '86 ASC verts? What did you pay/sell it for?

I thought the lack of ground effects was pretty neat.

But to answer your question about how much are they worth, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. I don't think it would bring any extra money. Probably less because some people think the non 'factory' convertibles are a red headed bastard step child when compared to the 'factory' verts. You know, the ones with a 3 in the 6th position of the vin.

The 86 conversions were aftermarket conversions, just like all prior years from other companies, so whether or not the car had ground effects would depend entirely upon what car the customer brought to ASC. Ken something-or-other on this board has an 86 IROC convertable that was done by ASC, so he may be of some help.

My uncle had knew a guy at his work that was selling the 86 vert. He had wanted $700 but through some persuation I lowered him $550. The car was in fairly decent shape. there were a few rust spots that needed some attention but nothing really big. I ended up selling the car on ebay for $2,652. The car was silver and also did not have the ground effects. It had a 305 carburated engine with a 700r4 trans.

I think you sold it for a fair price.
